RTB is a table lamp made of PET bottle formers.”

RTB is a nomad table lamp that is manufactured by a recycled process and recycled materials. The glass top of the luminaire is formed with the existing metal moulds in factories that are utilized in PET bottle-making. The glass is blown inside the metal mould and cooled down to an ıdeal temperature ın order to achieve its final conıcal form.

RTB refers to Ready to Blow / Bright”.

RTB as "Ready to Blow / Bright' refers to the initial function of the diffuser, a PET pre-form commonly used for blowing plastic bottles the sıze of 21 lıtres. The glass head is powered by an LED tube that is placed on the interior.

The base of the table light consists of terrazzo that has different colored glass particles within, therefore results in a unique outlook in each lamp. The terrazzo base is formed with a recycled composite material made of mixed glass, marble and polymers.

The design is currently being exhibited in the NOV Gallery located in Geneva, Switzerland.

VINCENT DECHETELLE IS A LYON-BASED FRENCH INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER THAT HAS GRADUATED FROM 'ECOLE CANTONALE D‘ART DE LAUSANNE' IN YEARS 2012 AND 2014 (BACHELOR AND MASTER’S DEGREE). HE EXPERIENCED WORKING FOR BRANDS SUCH AS ATELIER OI AND NICOLAS LE MOIGNE. IN 2016, Dechetelle MOVED TO PARIS, TO SET UP HIS OWN STUDIO SPACE, AND INITIATED DEVELOPING HIS LINE OF PRODUCTS MEANWHILE COLLABORATING WITH OTHER BRANDS AS a FREELANCE DESIGNER.
